    idli is a steamed cake made with a rice and lentil fermented batter. The same batter
    is also used to make a crepe called dosa which is often filled with spicy potato filling
    among many other things.
    The cakes are made by steaming a batter consisting of fermented black lentils (de-husked) and rice. Idli & Dosa are two of the healthiest and most popular South Indian breakfast foods.
    Plus, they are vegan and simple enough to make and eat every day. The perfect idli is
    soft and fluffy; the perfect dosa is paper-thin and crisp. It might be hard to imagine that
